Acupuncture consists of the gentle insertion and manipulation of very thin, sterile, disposable needles ( and other associated methods) for therapeutic effect on a range of primary health complaints and for the enhancement of well-being. Acupuncture helps tap into your body’s own pharmacy to help bring relief and improvement to your system.

Acupuncture’s effects have been compared to rebooting a computer. This ancient modality is thought to rebalance the action of neurotransmitters, endorphins, and other biochemical agents to promote better blood flow, reduce pain and stress, and improve immunity, hormonal balance, energy, focus, resilience and performance.

Patients visit my Acupuncture practice for the treatment of headaches and body pain; reactions to stress, such as anxiety, depression, and insomnia; women’s health concerns; and other chronic health issues, including digestive, sinus, respiratory, and skin complaints. Also to optimize their health, mood, energy and performance

Acupuncture can provide a relaxing, restorative, and refreshing time out from daily routine and stress. Especially now, as we are learning to better cope and thrive in our uncertain times, acupuncture combined with other modalities has helped patients find relief and improvement with their complaints and concerns.

I have extensive familiarity working with many Western medical modalities and specialties from my previous career in sales and marketing for a variety of medical products and services, providing additional insight into my patients’ concerns. I am trained in a variety of natural therapies and services, such as Oriental medicine (acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas), functional medicine assessment, alchemical healing, stress reduction, phototherapy, cupping, auricular therapy, and dietary support.

My approach is a fusion of my intuition and my different training, knowledge, and skills, which involve a variety of techniques, tools, and modalities. The result is a combination of medical and spa-like treatments. I customize treatment sessions in collaboration with my patients, targeting their specific conditions and objectives and empowering them to take charge of their health and well-being.

In addition to the 4 years of intensive graduate education and becoming board-certified in Oriental Medicine by NCCAOM.  I have also trained in Yoga, Qi Gong, Alchemical Healing, Phototherapy, and Functional Medicine.

Before I began my training and career in Oriental Medicine, my previous career was in healthcare sales and marketing positions with major medical companies representing a wide range of medical products and services to some of the most prestigious medical institutions in the United States. I gained understanding and experience with a wide variety of biomedical technologies and specialties such as Neurology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Anesthesiology, Surgery, Oncology, Hematology, Cardiology, Wellness, Radiology, and  Pathology.

With my deepening experience with diverse aspects of biomedicine, I became increasingly aware of certain patient concerns unmet with Western Medicine that Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine can address successfully for a number of patients.   I am committed to providing effective quality care for my patients and promoting the benefits that Oriental Medicine has to offer to patients and other medical professionals.
